Poster Project: Bertie Ahern's Resignation Speech
Data visualization and textural analysis are very interesting as a design discipline. I've wlasy been fascinated by the work of pioneers like Edward Tufte & Ben Fry and so I thought I'd try create something of my own.
Bertie Ahern recently resigned as Taoiseach of Ireland and it seemed his resignation speech would be an interesting candidate to run a textural analysis on. I used tagcrowd.com's service to reveal the keywords and frequency of the text. The results were somewhat banal with lots of mentions of government, people and Ireland, so I decided to create a second version emphasising the words I feel are more appropriate to his legacy.
As a result I have created two A3 posters with the two copies of his speech showing the various emphasis.
